School transport in Torrevieja is to be paid for by central government.it has just been announced that central government will pay 2.2 million euros to the Torrevieja council.The money is part of the Plan feil emergency fund for 2010.The plan is meant to lift the country out of economic recession.The Socialist spokesperson for the council has said that they are very pleased to see the central government support Torrevieja.
Torrevieja has a classic and specialist car club and it has just celebrated its 40th meeting .It wasinaugurated in 2006 by those who were classic car enthusiasts in the area.The club involves people of all nationalities plus visitors to the region.The club will give support to anyone who has an interest in cars,classic or otherwise.The president of the club gives regular talks on motoring in Spain and stresses the differences with driving in other European countries ,particularly the UK.They regularly invite other clubs and societies to join in with their activities and presentations.Their next meeting is on April 7 at the cafeteria Club Marina.
