Javea U3A
The martha and Mary Convent is situated in the old town of Javea and housed within the convent is a day centre for Alzheimers sufferers.The Javea U3A is well known for supporting local causes and during February they turned their attentions to the Day centre.
Monies raised from a Saint Valentine’s ball plus monies from a raffle at the Ball ,raised over 1000 euros on its own.The total amount given to the Centre was 1800 euros .This money will be used to purchase items such as a TV,DVD,music centre ,drums and various games.Members of the U3A visited the convent to present the cheque to the Mother sarah who leads the convent.
