Three men have been arrested by the Guardia Civil in Seville and Malaga ( Costa del Sol) and Madrid for owning and distributing child pornography on the internet and also for child abuse.

The investigation began in 2008 when it was reported to the Guardia Civil that there was someone on the internet who was advocating and supporting abuse of children.The person was traced and it was discovered that the person was a 35 year old doctor from  Malaga who frequently entered chat rooms to talk to children.The evidence showed that the doctor communicated with a man from Seville and they intimated that they had sex with children.

Searches of his home indicated that this was the case and that physical encounters with youngsters did take place.Internet providers were also communicating with the police about inappropriate use of the chat rooms and the man turned out to be the man from Seville.He was arrested .The police then began their search for the minors that these men had contacted .This led them to a man in Madrid and he was also arrested .The three men have been sent to prison pending their trial .

The Malaga doctor has been charged with child abuse of four children between the ages of 8 and 12 .The children have also been identified.
