New Denia Hospital To Open On December 1
Denia has been full of confusion about the state of their hospitals .
Now the new one is supposed to open its doors to patients on Monday December 1 .
It has been incredibly difficult for doctors , consultants and patients , they haven’t know what was happening and where they should be from one week to the next .
The opening date has been shrouded in mystery and consequently many staff have sought employment elsewhere because they have felt insecure .
The opening will not be total on Monday but it will take pressure off the La Pedrera clinic . This clinic will eventually treat long term ” in ” patients and also outpatients with chronic conditions .
The new hospital is to be privately managed and this also causes concern as staff feel that profits will enter the equation when patients needs are the most important issue .
The health ministry quotes the privately run hospital at Alzira as an example of a well run hospital with highly motivated staff and well cared for patients .

Mikado In Torrevieja
The Teatro Municipal in Torrevieja was transformed into the town of ” Titipu ” last week when a performance of the Mikado was given to a capacity audience .
The Gilbert and Sullivan Society performed in aid of the AECC Breast Cancer Scanner appeal .
The costumes were wonderful and the audience were very appreciative of all of the singing , choreography and set .
Everyone sees and remembers those who are on stage but it is all made possible by those who work backstage and they did a most amazing job , you can tell because you are never aware of them .
